Lyndall Kay is the founder of MoveMeant, a health and wellbeing business that encourages people to stretch, sweat, and surrender - for personal growth and fulfilment.

Lyndall is extremely passionate about education, health and movement practices.

Lyndall has been working in the health and social care sector for over 20years, more recently teaching in the sector, and has been practising meditation and yoga for over 20years.

Several years ago Lyndall discovered conscious dance - a movement practice where participants are encouraged to freely move their body to music, which has been curated to form a wave of sound.

This wave of sound takes participants on a journey, as the music starts off slow, builds to a crescendo, and completes with stillness.

Lyndall has always loved dancing, but she did not expect to have such a transformative experience.

It was life changing, as it has allowed Lyndall to manage the symptoms of her mental illness in a more healthy way.

In the past Lyndall has been Agoraphobic, following an episode of substance abuse, and was eventually diagnosed with Cyclothymia, a mild form of Bipolar.

Initially it was difficult, she felt self conscious, particularly when doing group or partner work, but each time she came back it became easier.

At first it was a place to just dance, have fun, and get fit. Then it became a place to free the body from stress, and the mind of thought. Then a place to express and work through difficult emotions, such as grief.

Over time Lyndall gained more confidence on the dance floor, and in other areas of her life.

Dancing with pure breath has opened Lyndall’s body, heart, mind, sexual centre, and spirit, giving her new ways of being and feeling.

Physically it has made her more fitter, emotionally it has made her feel more balanced, mentally it has made her more resilient, sexually it has allowed her to experience orgasms from pure breath, and spiritually it has made her feel more connected.

As the practice had such a powerful effect on her, she decided she would become a facilitator, and chose Dancing Freedom, as it works with the 5 Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether.

These 5 Elements are the fabric of our existence, and Lyndall weaves these elements into all of her work.

Lyndall is also in the process of developing a new programme called Stretch Sweat Surrender, which combines yoga, holistic counselling, life coaching, movement, and meditation practices, to assist people who wish to dive deeper, and discover what might be holding them back.

Lyndall’s MoveMeant - Dancing Freedom  classes, and the Stretch Sweat Surrender programme are shame free, shoe free, substance free, but not free of substance.

Lyndall is also available to teach various workshops in the health and social care sector; including employability skills.

A course Lyndall designed and taught in 2019 with Pooraka Farm Community was awarded South Australian Adult Learning Programme of the year, and one of her students won South Australian Adult Learner of the Year in the same year.

Lyndall uses her skills that she has obtained in her personal and professional life; including her lived experience of mental illness, to support others to find their own path to healing.

If you are interested in stretching yourself a little further and fully surrender, please join MoveMeant - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2724938380876165/
